PATIENCE

Prayer for growth in patience so that you can freely love and serve others.

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:9-12)

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Prayer Focus & Action
Use this prayer statement to lead you into your own prayer with God

Prayer Focus:  Lord Jesus, restore me with great patience and help me to love others as you have loved me.

Prayer Action:  After some prayer, allow some time for God to bring to mind those whom you have struggled to show patience with in their own spirtual growth.  Pray for God to continue his good work in their life as he is doing in yours.  If someone has been brought to mind, consider one way that you can directly encourage or serve them this week.
