Philippians 3:4b-14
Sacred Rhythm

Following Jesus isn’t about achieving perfection overnight — it’s about taking steady steps that set our hearts on Him. In Philippians 3, Paul reminds us that to truly thrive, we press on with Christ, discovering the power of His resurrection at work within us. Each small step of faith opens us to God’s surprising grace, shaping our hearts more and more like His.

This week’s practices are designed to help you notice God’s presence, experience His transforming grace in daily life, and consider the next step He may be calling you to take.

Practices for a Sacred Rhythm
Below are some suggestions to take small steps towards Christ-centered living

1. Heart Check Prayer
Each morning this week, begin your day with a short prayer:  “Jesus, today I want to know You. Set my heart on You.”
(Pause for a moment of silence, inviting the Spirit to center your heart on Christ before the day begins.)

2. "Resurrection" Journal
At the end of each day, take 5 minutes to write down one place where you experienced God’s grace or power - maybe strength in a hard situation, joy in a small blessing, or peace in a moment of stress. These are signs of resurrection power at work in your life.

3. Grace Step Toward Others
Identify one person in your life who could use an act of grace this week. It might be forgiveness, encouragement, or simply kindness. Do something small but intentional to reflect Christ’s grace to them.

4. Scripture Meditation
Read Philippians 3:7–14 slowly each day. Choose one phrase (for example: “I want to know Christ” or “I press on”) and repeat it quietly to yourself. Let that phrase shape your thoughts and actions throughout the day.

5. Consider Your Next Step (Baptism/Discipleship)
Ask yourself: What is the next small step of faith God is inviting me to take?

If you haven’t been baptized, prayerfully consider if this is your time to take that step.

If you have, ask: What’s the Spirit nudging me toward — deeper prayer, serving others, giving, forgiving, or sharing my faith?   Write your answer down, and share it with a trusted friend or mentor who can pray with you.

Remember: thriving in Christ doesn’t happen all at once. It’s about steady steps, with your heart set on Him, and the Spirit leading you into His resurrection life.
