Scripture Verses & Quotes

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.  Mark 1:35

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22–23

“The moment you wake up each morning… all your wishes and hopes for the day rush at you like wild animals. And the first job each morning consists simply in shoving them all back… in listening to that other voice, taking that other point of view, letting that other, larger, stronger, quieter life come flowing in.”  - C.S. Lewis

"I have so many things to do today, I dare not ignore my time with God."  - Martin Luther

"Prayer is the disciplined refusal to act before God acts." - Eugene H. Peterson

Morning Routine Ideas
Start Small...Be Consistent!

One-Minute Prayer: Before your feet hit the floor, pray:  “Lord, I give this day to You. Let me walk with You in all I do.”

One Psalm or Verse: Read just one verse in the morning (ex. Psalm 5:3, Psalm 23:1, Matthew 6:33).

Gratitude Prompt: Keep a small journal beside your bed or coffee machine. Write one thing you're thankful for each morning.

Sacred Coffee Time: While your coffee brews, spend those few quiet minutes being still with God - no screens, just silence or Scripture.

Lock Screen Reminder: Set your phone wallpaper to a verse or a short prayer to begin your day.
