Summer Psalms - On Psalm 18
Pray for Illumination
Heavenly Father, help me to know your ways; teach me your paths and lead me into your truth. Amen.
Read Psalm 18
I love you, Lord, my strength. Psalms 18:1
As I look at the beauty of nature all around me, I am compelled to worship God as my beautiful Creator! Other times I have walked and talked with the Lord as if I am speaking to my friend. Or moments I have found myself on my knees before my King. God is all of these things to me and so much more.
In the opening verses of Psalm 18, David describes his Lord God, especially in light of being rescued from his enemies:
…my strength…my rock…my fortress…my deliverer…my shield…my salvation…my stronghold…
As we walk with the Lord, we will discover that He is everything we need and more. No matter what you are facing today, He is sufficient.
Take time to bring your day before our Lord Jesus in prayer. Open yourself up to experience the sufficiency of his love and grace in amazing ways. And worship him!
I love you Lord Jesus, my…. (friend, savior, teacher, Lord, God, ….)
